Analyzed all inbound and outbound transportation data and recommended process improvements to management

• Increased the number of filed freight claims by 40% by creating a freight claims process that included the ground up creation of a Microsoft Access database to record monitor and report on loss or damaged cargo claims. Prepared and delivered a power point presentation to train customer service associates on new freight claims process

Oversaw compliance to all customer requirements that relate to the shipment of product and work to reduce or eliminate customer deductions due to non-compliance to routing / supplier guides.

• Made recommendations to department heads for reducing logistics violations. Followed up with departments to ensure that new processes had been implemented and were being followed

• Implemented a Microsoft Access database to record all customer deductions received. Developed reporting within Access in order to analyze chronic logistics problems and use as a tool to implement change

• Assisted in the maintenance of customer purchase order data within the SAP mainframe system including releasing orders for delivery based on current inventory levels and customer forecasting
